If you have already booked a ticket, you must reach the jetty an hour before the actual departure for the ticket verification, security and luggage checks. In addition, check with the ferry operator or Makruzz customer care for any changes in the scheduled timings.

The jetty isn’t very far from the airport and should not take more than 15-20 minutes from Port Blair Airport by taxi or car. You can also take an auto, a government bus, or a minibus from outside the airport to reach Haddo Jetty.

Andaman & Nicobar Islands are a part of India and therefore, Indians visiting the Islands don’t need a passport. However, if you are an NRI or a foreigner, you would need a proper passport and Visa to visit Andaman & Nicobar as per the Indian laws.

If you lose your ticket, you can download from the IRCTC tourism website, login to your account, go to “My Account” section where you can find your tickets and download it. You can use digital tickets at the time of boarding. Also, your tickets are sent to your email and sms after completing your booking.

Neither IRCTC nor Makruzz bears any responsibility for the safe-keeping of your personal belongings. Don’t carry valuable belongings: Valuable belongings, if any, need to be carried in your hand and not in cargo hold.

The passengers are requested to help Makruzz remain plastic-free by not carrying the following stuff on board: -
  • No Alcohol onboard: Consuming alcohol is not allowed on Makruzz ferries. If you want to carry it with you, you can keep it in your handbag. A maximum of two bottles per passenger is permitted.
  • Single-use plastic is a big No: Makruzz is a plastic-free zone. We don’t allow single-use plastic such as chips packets, plastic carry bags, water and juice bottles, etc. on board our ferry. Please avoid such items while travelling with Makruzz.
  • Firearms: Firearms are strictly forbidden. All security personnel carrying any firearms, must declare the same and are mandated to deposit their firearms with the master of the ship

Special medical assistance is available onboard all Makruzz Catamarans for differently abled and for elderlies. All you have to do is to inform us in advance and we’ll render the required facility.

Food is included in the ticket booked for Royal Class. For other classes, food kiosk is available onboard Makruzz ferries, passengers can buy food on payment basis.

No, you can’t make calls or access the internet while you are on the ferry. You can access calling and internet facilities once you reach the port.

Yes, there are certain restrictions on the weight of luggage you can carry with you on the ferry. Heavy or large pieces of luggage are not allowed to be carried in the passenger area. They will be put in the baggage hold and offloaded at the destination. The Free Baggage Allowance is 25Kg as Registered Baggage.

No, baggage can only be carried while travelling through the ferry.

The ticket price would vary depending on multiple factors:
  • Whether it is one way or round trip,
  • the class of seats,
  • Whether it is a regular ticket or a discounted ticket. You must check the website’s booking section before proceeding any further.

The charges as levied by the ferry operator, besides the base fare are as follows:
  • PSF (Passenger Service Fee) of Rs. 50 per person per ticket is applicable
  • Peak Season Supplement applicable from 1st Dec to 31st Jan per person per ticket per sector for all classes except infant and islander.
  • Payment Gateway (PG) Charges as applicable
