Bhubaneswar - The Capital City of Odisha is also popularly known as the "Temple City of India". Being the seat of 'Tribhubaneswar' or 'Lord Lingaraj'; Bhubaneswar - "Lord of the Earth" is a Hindu pilgrimage centre with Hundreds of temples dotted the landscape of the Old Town, which once boasted of more than 2000 temples. Bhubaneswar is the place where temple building activities of Orissan style flowered from its very inception to its fullest culmination extending over a period of over one thousand years.

Puri - The Holy Land of Lord Jagannatha, also known by popular vernacular name Shrikhetra, has many ancient names in the Hindu scriptures. The kitchen of the Jagannath Temple, Puri is reputed to be the largest in the world, with 1,000 chefs, working around 752 wood-burning clay hearths called chulas, to feed over 10,000 people each day.

Konark - The magnificent Sun Temple is the culmination of Orissan temple architecture, and one of the most stunning monuments of religious architecture in the world. The poet Rabindranath Tagore said of Konark that 'Here the language of stone surpasses the language of man'. Chilika - The Queen of Natural Beauty is the largest brackish water lake in Asia covering an area of over 1,100 sq. kms - a great attraction for the tourists for fishing, bird watching and boating.

Dhauli brings back memories of the historic 'Kalinga War' which was fought around here. It is the place where Ashoka transformed to Buddhism. Also, popularly known as Shanti Stupa, built in the early 17th by the Japan Buddha Sangha and Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha.

Puri Jagannath Temple was called the "White Pagoda", while the Konark Sun Temple was known as the "Black Pagoda". It is a local belief about these dhams that Lord Vishnu takes his dinner at Puri, has his bath at Rameshwaram, spends the night at Dwarka and does penance at Badrinath.

2. Pipili is famous for designing beautiful Applique handicrafts.
3. International Sand Art Festival at Chandrabhaga Beach is organized by Odisha Tourism from 1st to 5th of December every year.
4. The Konark Dance Festival is also a 5 days dance festival held from 1st to 5th of December every year.
